The Student Council of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Szeged organized Sports Day again this year.

The event was opened by Dr. habil. Edit Mikó, Dean, and Réka Dobó, President of the Student Council, followed by fitness sessions and breakfast, then table football and chess tournaments, beer pong and indoor soccer matches.

The members of the enterprising teams were able to prove their skills at the Peasant Olympics with skill tasks at each station.

Dr. Adrienn Szarvas, college associate professor challenged participants to throw corn cobs into rubber boots, made more difficult by the palinka they had consumed beforehand and then the players were asked questions about corn pests to earn extra points.

At the station of Dr. Kocsiné Dr. Gráff Myrtill, college associate professor, participants competed in a spritzer toto and spritzer drinking contest, where students could earn bonus points by demonstrating their anatomical knowledge.

Faculty students could join in a beer drinking competition made more difficult by a wheelbarrow slalom with master instructor Győriné Berényi Gizella.

College associate professor Júlia Hupuczi welcomed participants to the station with bucket basketball throwing and bonus points for correct answers related to soil science.

The teams then moved on to assistant lecturer Dávid Köteles, who encouraged students to jump in sacks, earning extra points for answering various animal-related questions.

Under the guidance of Dr. Annamária Korom, college associate professor, and Dr. Gabriella Kispál Szamosköziné, assistant professor, raw strength was already being tested at the tug-of-war station.

The day continued with a communal lunch and an UV party, where students from the Faculty of Agriculture danced to hits from the 2000s until dawn.
