In cooperation with SZTE TTC Zrt., the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Szeged organized a conference with the title of "Technology - Data - Intelligence 2025" under the subtitle "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture". The conference was of great importance not only from a national but also from an international perspective. The special feature of the professional meeting on the agricultural applications of digitalisation and Industry 4.0 was that Dr. Gábor Molnár, a high-ranking expert of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), also accepted the invitation and shared his experiences in a round table discussion, where the participants highlighted the fact that digitalization is not the future, but the present. Efforts must be made now to turn data into knowledge and knowledge into sustainable, competitive practices.
The conference was opened by Dr. Edit Mikó, dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Szeged, Prof. Dr. Ildikó Csóka, director general of strategy of SZTE and professional director of IKIKK, and Prof. Dr. Zoltán Kónya, vice-rector for Science and Innovation. In their introductory remarks, they emphasized that the future of agriculture is now determined not only by land, but also by digital systems, data-driven decision-making and global knowledge sharing.
