’SÁRGULÁSI’ HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE PARADE:

Departure from Pilot farm: 15:00

Arrival at Kossuth Sq.: 16:00

Route:

Pilot farm – Kutasi Rd. – Szt. István Sq. – Kálvin Sq. – Andrássy Rd. – Batthyány str. – Oldalkosár str.– Szőnyi str. – Tóth Sándor str. – Városház str. – Kossuth Sq, – Zrínyi str. – Madách str. – Lázár str. – Deák Ferenc str. – Petőfi Rd. (Student Hostel)

The horse-drawn carriages decorated with flowers and ribbons will depart from the Takács Ferenc Training Centre (Hódmezővásárhely, Aranyág kert 5.) at 3.00 PM, and the parade will arrive at Kossuth square, passing through Andrássy road and Oldalkosár streer at 4.00 PM accompanied by orchestral music. The parade will then continue in the surrounding streets and end at the Student Hostel of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Szeged. The parade is called "Sárgulás” (yellowing), according to the traditions of the fields, young people are ripe for the "harvest", the knowledge they have acquired has ripened, so they can symbolically reap the grains of life.
