On this day, 154 students bid farewell to their Alma Mater. During the traditional “Sárgulási” horse-drawn carriage parade, the carriages decorated with flowers and ribbons will depart at 15:15 from the Hódmezővásárhely Marketplace (parking lot behind the Church of Saint Stephen the King). The ’Sárgulási’ parade procession will arrive at Kossuth Square with a ceremonial brass band performance at 15:45, following the route via Andrássy street and Oldalkosár Street. (In case of rain, the procession will not stop at the town’s main square.)
The parade will then continue through the surrounding streets and will conclude at the Student Hostel of the Faculty of Agriculture. The event is named “Sárgulás” (literally "Yellowing") after traditional fieldwork customs — symbolizing that the young students have also "ripened for harvest"; their acquired knowledge has matured, and now they can symbolically reap the grains of life.
