George Wanjala, has defended his doctoral thesis on Genome-wide analysis of the genetic diversity of native sheep breeds and determination of potential selection signatures for climate change adaptation.

His thesis supervisor was Dr. Szilvia Kusza, Professor at the Centre for Agricultural Genomics and Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Food Science and Environmental Management, University of Debrecen.
