For the first time in the area, the joint world conference of all three international aerobiology associations (EAS = European Aerobiology Society; IAAA = International Association for Aerobiology; IRS = International Ragweed Society) was held in Vilnius (Lithuania) between July 1-5, 2024. More than 160 participants from 26 countries were present at the conference.

6 lectures were given and 7 posters were presented at the section meeting on ragweed and related areas.

Following the section meeting, at the General Assembly of the International Ragweed Society, the mandate of professor emeritus László Makra was extended: he will remain the president of the International Ragweed Society.
