CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

As part of the Digital Farming Compass event to be held in Mosonmagyaróvár on November 12, 2025.

Our Association has been given the opportunity to issue a call for applications on the following topic:
Precision solutions in Hungarian livestock production that can be implemented with currently available tools and resources
The call aims to highlight the possibilities, availability, benefits, and necessity of modern, efficient, economical, and site/stock-specific (i.e., precision) solutions in Hungary.
The applicant should use 5-10 pages (excluding images and figures) to present and describe what solutions they believe can be introduced and disseminated in domestic animal husbandry within 2-5 years with the current opportunities available in Hungary, and in which they believe farmers would be willing to participate. The solutions should take into account animal welfare and environmental aspects.

The primary evaluation criteria are the professional and practical nature of the material, and the feasibility of the solution, taking into account the domestic availability of the described precision solutions, their receptiveness, and the financial situation of the farmers.
The solution should describe the process, the approximate capital expenditure, the payback period, the usefulness (in terms of profitability, economy, product quality, animal welfare, and environmental aspects), and the demand for it in domestic animal husbandry.

Prizes
First place: HUF 150,000
Second place: HUF 100,000
Third place: HUF 50,000

The applications will be judged by a jury composed of MAPÁE members.

All useful, smart applications will be published on the MAPÁE website with the authors' names and disseminated in our newsletters!

We welcome applications from Hungarian university students and student groups, and submissions may also be in English!

The deadline for submission of applications is October 20, 2025.
