Establishment of IAAS Hungary

IAAS (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences) is the biggest student organization in the field of agriculture and related sciences worldwide. IAAS was founded in 1957 in Tunisia, and started with only 8 member countries. The organization has grown nowadays with over 50 member countries and about 10.000 students as our members. In this May, IAAS Hungary was officially established by the University of Szeged, Faculty of Agriculture students.

World Congress

From July 24^th to August 7^th, Our IAAS Hungary National Director (Jargal Ganzorig) and Vice President of Sciences and Project ( Elsa Maria Arriaran Silva) attended IAAS World Congress 65^th meeting in Morocco. The topic of this WoCo was Water Scarcity and its effect on Food Security. During the two weeks of the Congress, they travelled to four different cities of Morocco including Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir and Essaouira which are all the babsises of Hassan II Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine University and they also met all the delegates of IAAS World. Right after being accepted as a new member, it was a great opportunity to get to know more about the IAAS and promote Hungary in agricultural field among foreign students.
